Resin Care Information

Caring for your resin item is important to maintain its beauty and durability over time and to keep it looking its best. By following these simple guidelines, you can enjoy your resin products for years to come.

 

  • Avoid waterResin is water resistant, but not waterproof, so remove it before showering, swimming, or washing dishes. 
     
  • Avoid heat and sunlightProlonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the resin to discolour and soften. 
     
  • Avoid chemicalsAvoid exposing resin to harsh chemicals and cleaning products, such as acetone, nail polish remover, hair spray, perfume, and antibacterial hand sanitiser. 
     
  • Avoid scratchingTry to avoid scratching or scuffing the resin surface. 
     
  • Avoid smokeRegular contact with direct smoke can cause resin to yellow. 
     
  • Store in a dry placeKeep resin in a dark, airtight bag or box. 
     
  • Clean with mild dish soapUse a damp microfibre or silk cloth with mild dish soap and water to clean resin. 
     
  • Use plastic polishYou can use plastic polish to maintain the condition of your resin.
     
  • Remove when sleepingAvoid sleeping in resin jewellery. 

Occasional Jewellery Care Information

Caring for your fashion jewellery is important to help maintain its shine and colour, therefore extending its lifespan, and preventing damage. Whilst fashion jewellery is less expensive, it's still an investment, and taking care of it will ensure your pieces last longer.

 
 

Keep it dry

  • Remove jewellery before washing, swimming or exercising
  • Avoid contact with moisture and liquids

Avoid chemicals

  • Avoid exposure to soaps, sprays, creams and perfumes
  • Avoid harsh chemicals like shampoos, lotions and makeup
  • Avoid contact with home detergents or chemical products like sun creams and nail polish removers

Store it properly

  • Keep jewellery in a cloth bag or sealed plastic bag to reduce exposure to air
  • Use a travel jewellery box to  keep jewellery organised
  • Keep chains and bracelets fastened so they don't get mixed up
  • Do not store jewellery in direct sunlight

Clean it

  • Rub jewellery regularly with a soft cloth
  • Polish jewellery every three to six months to remove dullness

Other tips

  • Make jewellery the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off
  • Avoid sleeping with jewellery on, as it can become tangled
